Albany, Ga -If you were at Chehaw last Saturday and thought the crowd was the largest you had ever seen, you would have been correct. Chehaw officials released Saturday’s attendance figures and revealed that there were 3, 188 visitors to the Wild Animal Park and Native American Cultural Festival. It was the largest single-day attendance since they began keeping records. The previous record was Saturday of last year’s Festival with 2, 534 guests.
CheChehaw’s Executive Director, Doug Porter said of the event, “it is fantastic to see this many people enjoying the Festival. It fills hotel rooms, it brings people to the restaurants, and it gets people out to do some shopping. I think all around it’s great for the city of Albany.”
