Northwest Albanians were shocked to learn of a man killed by a gunshot wound in their “safe” part of Albany.  Many in that area were wondering if they were safe.  According to police, there appears to be nothing to worry about.

APD media manager Phyllis Banks told the Journal that 40 year old Michael Grady Shadburn died of what is being described as “a self-inflicted single gunshot wound”.  Shadburn’s neighbors reported that they heard no sounds of a gunshot prior to his body being discovered Saturday evening.
