Allen Fleming Davis Jr. 62

Allen Fleming Davis Jr. age 62, passed away Monday, May 9, 2011 in Milledgeville, Ga.

Mr. Davis was born Sept. 28, 1948 to the late Allen Fleming Davis and Marigrene Davis of Albany. He is survived by his two children, Laney Cahillane of Atlanta and Allen Fleming Davis III and his wife Holli Dixon Davis of Pensacola, Fla., and two grandchildren, Colin Davis Cahillane and Hope Ray Dixon, and his sister, Julia Davis of Albany.

The family is planning a memorial service to be announced at a later date.

Lynn Denby Harris, 57

Lynn Denby Harris, 57, of Albany passed away Sunday, May 15, 2011 at Palmyra Medical Center. The funeral service was conducted Tuesday in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Interment followed at Riverside Cemetery with Rev. Dan Story and Rev. Jackie Cabaniss officiating.

Born July 1, 1953 in Albany, Lynn was the daughter of William P. Denby and Deane Watson Denby. She worked for over seventeen years at Miss Jan’s Nursery and was a member of Salem Baptist Church of Sylvester. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving daughter, mother, and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband, Patrick D. Harris of Albany; mother, Deane Watson Denby of Albany; daughters, Deanna Utz and Brittany Harris, both of Albany; son, Christopher Utz of Oakfield; sister and brother-in-law, Dawn and Scott Story of Sylvester; seven grandchildren, Marissa, Taylor, Sara Beth, Ty, Khaki, Sunshine, and Hollis; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, William P. Denby and her first husband, Ronald Utz.

Larry Joe Mahon, 53

Larry Joe Mahon was born Sept. 18, 1957 in Dougherty County to Patsy Kierce and Robert Peters. He was educated in the Dougherty County School System. He enjoyed shooting pool He leaves to cherish his memory: his stepfather Robert Peters of Albany; brothers, Johnny Mahon of Leesburg, and Allen and Terry Mahon of Fremont, Calif.; his sister, Patty Alderton of Leesburg; his nieces, Jena and Rickkie Jean Alderton of Panama City Beach, Fla., and Angela Mahon of Fremont; nephew Allen Mahon, Jr. of Fremont; and grandnephew Chandler Barwick of Panama City Beach.

The body has been cremated. J.L. Litman Memorial Funeral Home.

 

Jan Freeman, 82

Jan Freeman, 82, of Albany, died Friday, May13 at Palmyra Nursing Home. There will be a private family memorial service at a later date.

Mrs. Freeman is survived by her daughter Terri Wetherbee and her husband Mike, Albany; 3 grandchildren; 1 great grandson.
