Jimmy Scott
Jimmy Scott, 67, of Sylvester Road in Albany, died Saturday, April 3, 2010 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors with Rev. Smith Gentry officiating. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
A native of Moultrie, Mr. Scott lived most of his life in Albany, where he was a member of Kinchafoonee Baptist Church and worked most of his life as a commercial and residential builder. Mr. Scott loved to sell produce in the Albany area and had a passion for hard work and helping others. He will always be remembered for the love he gave his kids and family.
Survivors include his son Michael Scott of Lenox, Ga., daughters, Leslie Ramos, Lisa Briggs, Marsha Oliver all of Albany, nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, his former wife, Faye Scott Shepard of Albany, brothers, Bobby Scott of Columbus, Ga., and Jerry Scott of Albany, sisters, Betty Falon of Atlanta, and Peggy Allen of Waynesboro, Ga.

Charleen Vann Smith
Charleen Vann Smith, 66, of Albany died Sunday, April 4, 2010 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors with interment at Floral Memory Gardens. Rev Steve Eidson, Rev. Greg Wakefield, and Rev. Buddy Harris will officiate.
A native of Moultrie, Mrs. Smith lived in Albany for the past 45 years. She was a member of Albany Christian Church and attended Westwood Church. She graduated from Norman Park College and worked with McGregor Golf and Albany Concrete, and was a receptionist for Dr. Marvin Allen for 20 years.
Survivors include her husband, Danny Smith, a son, Michael Scott Smith and his wife Jeanelle of Albany, her father, Charles M. Vann of Moultrie, a sister, Mary Lee Vann of Moultrie and two grandsons, Dalton Scott Smith and Kyle Ramsey Smith.
