SLAP FEST AT STATE THEATRE
WHAT: A tribute to the late John Slappey, a great American, and a fund-raiser for Mandy and Sawyer Slappey. Featuring a silent auction, live auction and music by The Fundamentals, Mac George, Evan Barber, Bo Henry and Dallas Davidson.

KIWANIS CLUB TALENT SHOWCASE
WHAT: The first Kiwanis Club of Southern Rivers I Care Music & Talent Showcase to spotlight the music talents of the community’s youth. The winner of the high school division will advance to compete for the state title.

WALK A MILE IN HER SHOES
WHAT: A benefit for the Lily Pad. There is an old saying: “You can’t really understand another person’s experience until you’ve walked a mile in someone else’s shoes”. Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is asking all men to literally walk one mile in women’s four-inch red patent high-heeled shoes. It won’t be easy, but we guarantee that you’ll have fun while at the same time helping educate our community about something that is difficult to talk about … sexual violence.
