ATLANTA – After another week of intense training in the pool, the Darton State Swimming and Diving program met some serious competition at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Saturday. The Cavs fell 136-82 and the Lady Cavs 127-42 in a dual meet with the Yellow Jackets.

Sophomore JD Rosseau finished third in the 1,000 yard free with a personal-best time of 9:54.13, which ranked him among the top five long-distance swimmers in the NJCAA.

Also noteworthy was Crawford Berry, who finished 2nd in both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving competitions.

“It was good to see competition like that before nationals,” Darton head swimming coach Will Breehl said. “But I think we could have handled it better. Now we’ll have to regroup and pull it together for next weekend.”

Darton will host Thomas University, Saturday, beginning at 11 a.m.
