Freshman Artisha Holston recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds and added three steals to lead the Albany State Lady Rams past the Benedict College Lady Tigers, 60-50. With the victory, ASU improves to 11-3, 6-1 in the SIAC. The Lady Rams also take over as the top team in the SIAC East Division standings. Benedict, who entered the game atop the SIAC East Division, falls to 12-5, 6-1.
The two teams engaged in a low-scoring, defensive duel in the first half. Benedict only led 8-6 at the 9:50 mark before Kedeemya Cooper tied the game with two free throws.
