AMERICUS — Best-selling author and syndicated columnist Ronda Rich will highlight an evening of southern-style fun and food as Georgia Southwestern State University’s homecoming 2014 guest speaker Friday, Jan. 31. The event will be held at Griffin Bell Golf and Conference Center in Americus and begins with a cash bar at 6 p.m. Dinner and entertainment begin at 7 p.m.A former award-winning sports writer on the NASCAR circuit, Rich is nationally known as an author and syndicated columnist to over one million readers. Rich’s book “What Southern Women Know (That Every Woman Should)” put her in the limelight. The book is now in its 32nd printing. She has penned four other best-selling books. Her novel “The Town that Came A-Courtin’” has been made into a television movie starring Lauren Holly and Valerie Harper, which airs later this month.
Rich has appeared on dozens of television shows including “The View,” “Fox and Friends,” and “The Other Half” and in the pages of “People,” “USA Today,” “Redbook,” “The New York Times,” and “Southern Living.”
Tickets for the event are $25 in advance and $35 at the door. Groups of six or more (for tables) are recommended. Rich will hold a book signing following the event.
