YMCA Invites Public to New Year’s Day Open House

Albany – The Albany Area YMCA invites members and non-members to a New Year’s Day tradition – the YMCA New Year’s Open House. Visit the Central Facility, 1701 Gillionville Road or the Lee Branch, 316 Robert B. Lee Drive in Leesburg, from 1 – 4 p.m. on Wednesday, January 1, 2014. The first 104 people in the door at the Albany location will receive a free t-shirt in honor of the Y’s 104 years of serving Albany. The first 23 people in the door in Leesburg will receive a free t-shirt in honor of the Y’s 23 years of serving Lee County.

At the New Year’s Day Open House, enjoy refreshments in the lobbies and televised football in the cardio rooms. Non-members can take advantage of the No Joining Fee special. The Y will waive the joining fee for enrollment on January 1.

At the Central Facility, 1701 Gillionville Road, three classes will be offered during Open House. An Introduction to Spin Class will be held from 1:30-1:45; Spin Class takes place from 1:45-2:15; and Line Dancing will be offered from 2:30-3:00. At the Lee Branch, 316 Robert B. Lee Drive in Leesburg, a Line Dancing Class will be offered from 3:30-4:00 p.m. Guests are invited to take part in any or all of these classes.
