Albany, GA – Senior Jamorris Gaines led a list of five double figure scorers with 21 points and nine rebounds as the Albany State Golden Rams dismantled Florida National University 102-68. With the win, ASU improves to 2-3 on the season. FNU dips to 6-9.

The Golden Rams jumped out to a quick 8-2 lead and never looked back. ASU gradually increased its lead throughout the first half thanks to the pressure defense they applied to the Conquistadors.

A half-court three-pointer by Gaines gave the Golden Rams a 58-22 halftime lead.

Larry Bullock recorded 15 points, Joe Williams added 14, Darshtyn Baker netted 11, and James Lodman had 10 to join Gaines in double digits.

The Golden Rams made 16 three-pointers and were 16 of 19 from the free throw line for the game.

The Golden Rams return to action on Wednesday, December 4th when they take on the Carver College Cougars at ASU HPER Gym. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m.
