Sylvester – Today’s story comes from Worth County. The mother who sent this story in asked to remain anonymous. Considering the rumors floating around about Worth County Middle School’s reaction to Dustin Hammonds’ suicide – thus far unverified by this paper – it’s hard to fault her.
I have three kids in Worth County schools . Two in Worth County Middle School and had one in Worth County High School as of last year when he got tired of always being bullied and being made fun of so he decided to quit and move with his dad.
Well my high schooler will be graduating in January, thank goodness. My daughter is in the eighth grade and last school year she was pulled into the boys bathroom by four football players. They got a fight from her and she got away.
Nothing was ever done about this except when I confronted the principal. She said she would take care of it. Yeah right! Nothing was done.
My fifth grader was being bullied all year last year at the elementary school. Well, it finally made its way to the bus where I got involved. It got nasty and the only thing I can say came out of it was the school board banned me from being with on 50 ft of any worth co school bus.
This bullying has to stop!
