2013 Mission Change Sleep Out “ Tell me a story”. It’s that time of year! Please make plans to support and attend our 6th Annual Mission Change: Hope for the Hungry & Homeless Sleep Out! We are asking YOU giving up YOUR bed for one night for those who “sleep out” every night due to homelessness. We are asking everyone to have goal to raise $100 per person that participates… remember, this is a goal, if you do not meet that goal you are still welcome to sleep out! ALL the funds raised that evening go back into the community towards our homeless and food…-insecure areas. So – ask 10 people for $10 and you will meet your goal! We hope that you will participate! We will be focusing on ways to make a difference in our community by fighting homeless and food-insecurity through serving our neighbors in need. We may not always have the resources to give them, but if we know where those resources are available we can walk with those who are in need to take the next step out of poverty. Special speakers will share their stories, give us information that we can share with anyone we meet along the way who is in need of resources, sharing ways to physically meet the needs of our neighbors, and be a friend to someone who has lost hope and loved ones around them. We ask that you grab your boxes (refrigerator/ freezer boxes) or your tents to sleep out with gates opening at 6:30pm until the next morning at 7am AT TURTLE PARK downtown Albany, Ga. Bring your sleeping bags and pillows, as well as, YOUR FRIENDS & FAMILY! The Cookie Shoppe & Our Daily Bread are providing our soup for the evening. Elliano’s Coffee Co. will be providing our coffee that night as well! There will be security provided by the Albany Police Dept. for the entire night! So you will be in a safe environment! We need YOU to help change the world from your backyard! For more information and registration forms visit: www.missionchange.com Where: Turtle Grove Park 112 South Front Street.
