Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp Reminds Georgians To Vote Tomorrow

Atlanta – Polling precincts across Georgia will be open to voters from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. tomorrow for the Nov. 5, 2013 General Election. Individuals are able to confirm their polling location by visiting the Secretary of State’s My Voter Page at www.sos.ga.gov/mvp. Individuals are also encouraged to verify the hours in which their polling location will be open with the local boards of elections as hours can vary.

Secretary Kemp also reminded voters to bring any valid state or federal government issued ID.

Types of valid photo ID include:

● A Georgia driver’s license, even if expired

● Valid employee photo ID from any branch, department, agency or entity of the U.S.

● Valid U.S. passport

● Valid U.S. military photo ID

● Valid tribal photo ID

If voters experience any issues, they should immediately contact the poll manager on site or the Secretary of State’s Office at (877) 725-9797.

Brian Kemp has been Secretary of State since January 2010. Among the offices wide-ranging responsibilities, the Secretary of State is charged with conducting efficient and secure elections, the registration of corporations, and the regulation of securities and professional license holders.
