ALBANY, Ga. – Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital will host its annual Women’s Health Conference Saturday, October 26, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Phoebe HealthWorks, 311 Third Avenue. This event is free and open to the public.
This year’s event is a celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month called “The Power of Pink”. The event will feature Dr. Shawnta Speer of the Phoebe Cancer Center as guest speaker. There will be also be spinning and Zumba presentations, a special tea time, information on hats and wraps, a discussion on healthy eating and nutrition, as well as door prizes.
Health screenings will be available beginning at 8 a.m., and will include height, weight, blood pressure, diabetes and cholesterol (fasting required after midnight). Continental breakfast and lunch will be served.
