Taco Truck Thursday at the Flint RiverQuarium. Stop by the FRQ Parking lot for some amazing tacos from the “Taco Truck”. 10am-2pm

Albany Audubon Society Monthly Meeting. We have been asked about a separate, local membership in our chapter. Chapters throughout the country offer this method, which is accepted by National. The benefits of a local membership include knowing that your contribution will be used to fund local concerns. If you live in the Albany, Georgia area and are a member of the National Audubon Society, you are automatically a member of our local chapter. If you wish to be a member of the Albany chapter only, the yearly dues are $20.00, and are tax-deductible. Some members may choose to do both, and we will gladly accept your contribution. Food Truck Friday! Stop by the RiverQuarium Parking lot for some amazing tacos from the “Taco Truck” 10am-3pm

Live Music, Dinner, & Fun on the Patio at Riverfront BBQ! The Patio is the place to be for drinks, music, corn hole, and oysters! The Oyster Bar opens outside at 6pm and the music begins at 7:00. Bring the whole family or just hang-out with friends!

Flint RiverQuarium All Day Paddle Excursion – For an Explore a scenic section of the Flint River and learn about this amazing natural resource. Minimum age is 10. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Each participant should bring a sack lunch and water. Trips last approximately 6-8 hours. Group Paddles – Register your group and enjoy a relaxing day out with your friends and family. You can earn a scout badge or enjoy a day of professional development on the river. We serve groups such as scouts, youth groups, birthday parties and corporate events. To register 229-639-2650.

Saturday, October 12th – 10am
2nd Saturday Open-Air Art Market at the Art Park. Looking for a place to sell your art or crafts? Come down to the Art Park on Pine this Saturday from 10am-2pm. All artist and crafters are welcome to come out and setup. The Downtown Art Market is an effort to unite Artists of all genres, musicians, writers, potters, actors, painters, gardeners, chefs, cooks, singers, dancers, hackers, tinkerers, renewable energy gurus and philosophers … to buy, sell, trade, talk… even teach their arts and skills in a communal space.

Saturday, October 12th – 1pm
Freedom Singers. Every second Saturday, the Freedom Singers, led by the original SNCC Freedom Singer Rutha Harris, perform in the fully restored Old Mount Zion Baptist Church on the campus of the Albany Civil Rights Institute 326 W Whitney.

All things 3D is October’s exhibit at the Albany Area Arts Council. The exhibit and Sale will showcase the 3D work of two Valdosta professors, Hollis Barnett and Al Park. Blue Hole Dive Shows. Did you know that you can watch divers hand-feed the fish in our blue hole every Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m.? Staff and/ or volunteers are also on-hand to answer questions. Recently, our divers have begun playing tic-tac-toe with the audience!
