Sertoma Presents Check To DCSS

By   /   October 5, 2013  /   Comments Off

On October 4, 2013, the Albany Downtown Sertoma Club (ADS) presented a check to the Dougherty County School System. The donation of $750 will be used by 10th grade teacher Christen Taylor to help further the educational needs of over 200 Dougherty High students.

Sertoma means “service to mankind,” and the club feels that there is no better service than supporting our local students. ADS already has another partnership in place with the Dougherty County School System to provide scholarships to hearing impaired graduating seniors moving on to higher education. For more information about ADS, please visit www.albanyDTsertoma.org.
