ALBANY – Darton State will host Georgia Military College in soccer action, Wednesday, beginning with the women’s match at 5 p.m., and followed by men’s soccer at 7 p.m.

Lady Cavaliers head coach Ken Veilands should continue to build on his new Region 17 record of all-time wins while his team climbs in the national polls. The latest, released by the NJCAA last week, bumped Darton from 12th to 9th.

The Lady Cavaliers are 12-1 overall, and beat GMC 6-2 at their last meeting in Columbus.

On the men’s side, the Cavaliers are eager to play again after a tie, Friday, to new rival program Eastern Florida State. Darton lept from 4th to 2nd in the latest NJCAA poll, and Cavalier forward Darwin Espinal continues to dominate the league in scoring and in overall offensive points.
Sophomore captain Jorge Chirinos is two assists away from being the top playmaker in the nation. He’s currently tied for 2nd with 11 assists.
The Cavaliers are 10-1-1 overall and beat the Bulldogs 3-1 in their last matchup.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
