While the Journal staff is having our powwows over what we need to do with the paper, there is a vital group of people who can’t be at our meetings. That group are our readers.
Your input is needed. I have talked to people who want to see the Journal revert back to the days of Bill Davis, which was admittedly a very, very successful time for the paper. I’ve talked to people who are perfectly happy with us as we currently stand. Still others may have something else in mind.
Hell, some may want us to become the Albany version of The Onion for all I know.
Here is your opportunity. Use our comment section, via Facebook, to let us know what you want to see from this paper. I’m not going to say that those comments will dictate our direction, but they will help shape that direction.
Folks, we know what we’re doing isn’t working in some way. We aren’t asking you for money, we’re asking for your opinions. We want them, and we need them.
If you don’t want your opinions public, that’s fine. Drop us an email instead.
We want to know what you’d like to see from The Albany Journal. Don’t let us down.
