Special to the Journal

The Flint RiverQuarium is looking for an original and inventive design for the 2013 River Zombies 5K. This design will be used as the logo in all promotion of the event.

The Flint RiverQuarium River Zombies 5K is both an obstacle course and a race. Participants navigate the course while also avoiding zombies intent on stealing their “life flags.” Last year, the River Zombies 5K had 350 participants and an equal number of spectators.

This year’s River Zombies 5K is moving to a new location at the former First Tee location. The run will feature more zombies, as well as an increased number of more difficult obstacles. A festival with music and vendors will be ongoing at the site the whole day.
