Special to the Journal

ALBANY – “Great Leaders Serve” refers to both an attitude – an underlying desire to serve – and specific practices the best servant leaders exhibit on a regular basis. Mark Miller, who serves as Vice President of Organizational Effectiveness, Chick-fil-A, Inc., Atlanta, will present the leadership competency model known as “SERVE” at the next Business Leader’s Lunch and Learn event sponsored by Chick-fil-A of Albany/Lee and Sherwood Baptist Church.

According to KJ Wari, Operator of the three local Chick-fil-A restaurants in Albany and Lee, the SERVE model has become the go-to tool for planning, talent development, and innovation. “We regularly and actively use the SERVE model in each of our restaurants, and we coach every level of leadership as they apply it. It has been invaluable and has revolutionized the way we do business. I’m very excited that our local business community will be able to hear about this concept directly from Mark.”

The Lunch and Learn event will be held on Wednesday, July 31, at Sherwood Baptist Church, 2201 Whispering Pines Road from 12-1:30pm. Admission is $10 per person or $80 for a reserved table of 8. Price of admission includes a Chick-fil-A Box Meal. For more information, please visit http://cfaalbanylunchlearnjuly.eventbrite.com.
