WASHINGTON- U.S. Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-GA), released the following statement regarding the passing of U.S. Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ):

“Frank and I came to the Senate together in 2002 – he from a short break in public service and I for the first time. From his World War II service, to his tireless work for the people of New Jersey, no one could doubt the man loved his country. I was proud to call him a colleague and a friend, and he will be greatly missed. Julianne and I send our condolences to his wife, Bonnie, and to the rest of his family.”
