Phillip Dorr Marley, age 85, passed away at his home on Wednesday, May 29, 2013.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 3 at Covenant Presbyterian Church at 10:00 AM with a family interment following in Andersonville National Cemetery. Dr. William D. (Biff) Coker officiating.
A native of Eldorado, Kansas, Mr. Marley was a terminal supervisor for Exxon Pipeline and Dixie Pipeline Co. in Albany retiring in 1990. He served with the U. S. Navy Seabees during World War II and was in the Naval Reserves during the Korean War. He was a resident of Albany since January 1966 and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Jean Marley of Albany; three sons, Patrick (wife Beverly Eubanks) of Leesburg, Georgia; Michael (wife Carolyn Slevin) of Massillon, Ohio; and Rex of Fort Collins, Colorado; three grandchildren, Kelly Littley (husband
Timothy) of Everett Washington; Philip Marley (wife Katie Clemons) of Columbia, Missouri and David Marley (Lindsey Groenewald) of Columbus, Georgia; sister, Shirley Hickman of Newark, Ohio and a niece and two nephews.
