YMCA Offers Lifeguard Certification Courses

Albany, Ga - The Albany Area YMCA will be offering Lifeguard Certification Courses in April and May. These courses are open to youth and adults, ages 15 and older.

Adequate completion of the course will certify the individual in rescue CPR and first aid, and train the student for a job as a lifeguard. The cost to attend a course is $150 for YMCA members and $175 for non-members. Dates of upcoming courses are: April 26-30, May 10-14 and May 24-28.

Classes will be held at the YMCA Central Facility, 1701 Gillionville Road, from 5:30-9 p.m. on the weekdays, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 2-5 p.m. on Sunday. For more information, contact Jeff DeMott, YMCA Aquatics Director, at 229-436-0531.
