Albany, Ga – Senior football player Janell Jones and junior cheerleader Brandie Hall represented Albany State University at the 2013 SIAC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Conference. The conference included SAAC student-athletes and advisors from the SIAC’s 13 schools.
“Janell and Brandie did an excellent job representing our organization and school at the SIAC conference,” said SAAC advisor Stan McCormick. “Both of them are good athletes and great students. They made sure everyone at the conference knew ASU was present. They learned a lot, and they were able to bring that knowledge back to their fellow student-athletes.”
Jones, a native of Cordele, Georgia, serves as the ASU SAAC Male Representative. He is a four-year letterman for the Golden Rams’ football team and a charter member of Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society (Eta Chapter) at Albany State.
Hall is from Albany, Georgia and the SAAC Female Representative. She is also the co-captain of the ASU cheerleading squad and a member of several other organizations at Albany State.
“The SIAC SAAC Conference was a memorable experience,” said Hall. “I learned a lot of tips to help me succeed as a student-athlete. I also met other student-athletes and networked with them so we can make our conference a better place for current and future student-athletes.
The SIAC SAAC Conference allowed the student-athletes in attendance to provide ideas geared to promote improvement for the student-athletes who participate in the SIAC. The student-athletes were also treated to a motivational session with Adrienne Johnson, CEO of Infinity Global Connections and her associates.
