Albany, Ga – The Albany Police Department is now accepting applications for the 28th session of the Citizens Police Academy.
The twelve weekly, two hour sessions, will begin on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 and will continue until Tuesday, June 11, 2013. Class times are from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Citizens will be given an opportunity to learn about a variety of topics.
In addition, there will be opportunities to participate in a ride-along with an officer on patrol.
Anyone interested in participating in the Albany Police Department’s Citizens Police Academy can go to the City’s website to pre-register by downloading an application. There are also applications available, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the front desk at the Law Enforcement Center located at 201 West Oglethorpe Boulevard. The program is free and open to the public.
