Albany, Ga – The Albany State University College of Business will open its 2013 Foundation for Economic Education (FEE) lecture series Thursday, March 21, at 11:15 a.m. in Peace Hall Room 127. The president of the Foundation for Economic Education, Dr. Lawrence W. Reed will present a popular lecture, “Seven Principles of Sound Policy” in which he’ll describe a set of principles designed to aid in the evaluation of public policy.
Reed, an advocate for free market solutions to national and global issues, has authored over 1000 newspaper columns, magazines, articles and journals. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Grove City College and a Master of Arts degree in history from Slippery Rock University located in Pennsylvania. The lecture series is sponsored by the Charles Koch Foundation.
Samuel Yenn-Batah, co-founder of the Urban Society of Economic Freedom will be the keynote speaker at the second lecture in the series on April 9 at 11:15 in Peace Hall Room 122. Dr. Lisa D. Cook, assistant professor of Economics at Michigan State University will lecture on April 22 at 11:15 a.m. in Peace Hall Room 127.
