Albany, Ga – The Albany Area YMCA will hold the first Boot Camp Challenge of 2013 on Saturday, March 16 from 9-11 a.m. at the Central Facility, 1701 Gillionville Road. The Boot Camp Challenge is designed to test the participants’ level of agility, flexibility, strength, power and endurance through a series of stations such as 1000M Row, Power Squats, Barbell Clean & Press, Tire Pull, Kettlebells and more. Each competitor is encouraged to challenge themselves and strive for their personal best. Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female competitor. The Y will host more Boot Camp Challenges in 2013 so that participants can measure their improvement on the same course over time.
The Boot Camp Challenge is free for YMCA members, and non-members will pay a $10 entry fee. Spectators are welcome. To participate, register at the YMCA. Registration is open the day of the event if spaces are available. Spaces are limited, so register early to ensure a spot. For more information, call 436-0531.
