Speaking of Shock and Awe

By   /   February 4, 2013  /   Comments

It has been quite the week for Obummer and Injun Joe. I must admit they are quite skilled at the shell game. Swiftboat Johnny was sworn in as Secretary of State, I wonder if Hanoi Jane will be coming along. Come to think of it I wonder if Benghazi Billary will be taking over an open ambassadorship or resting up for her perceived imminent coronation in 2016, her Super-Pac is already gassed up and getting ready.

Kids in Colorado are learning the Pledge of Allegiance in Arabic. We’re sending warplanes and heavy ordinance to Egypt of all places, why don’t we just have them Overnighted to the West Bank so Hamas can save the American taxpayer a few bucks on shipping. Which former president will get the blame for the burning of our most important relationship in the region?

Speaking of old business being new again, North Korea is testing launch vehicles (polite word for missiles) that can reach the United States. They are and have been threatening war since the DMZ was established, I wonder if Sehr Fuhrer will be blaming Harry Truman.

Also in this week’s Blitz-Kreig on liberty a mutual compromise was allegedly reached on issues not related to the dishonest unemployment numbers or criminal caliber lack of stewardship of the people’s money, but on amnesty for illegal immigrants and an assault weapons ban… I do wonder if all those illegal Mexicans will be asked to surrender the M-4s, M-16s, and other true assault weapons that they were literally given during Operation Fast & Furious.

Other legitimate but under reported factual news included the IRS estimate that Obamacare’s cheapest plan would cost the American taxpayer $20,000 per person covered, those who don’t comply will be assessed an additional tax. They argue it isn’t a tax, but anything assessed and administered by Aunt Iris (Internal Revenue Service) is a tax or legal matter pertaining to the taxation of funds, it’s what they do.  By law it is all they can do, and it’s a broad scoped operation.  Ask Al Capone, or Wesley Snipes, or any employee of Enron.

I guess in retrospect that it is a good thing we raised taxes on the rich, I guess the American People weren’t getting their pound of flesh from the smallest demographic, who were already paying the lion’s share of the taxes with their liability on income alone being a higher percentage dollar wise than the middle class and the working poor. Though the taxes collected from the rich, cover the tab for the untaxed poor. Note untaxed, not unemployed- people who collect unemployment MUST pay taxes on those wages, the untaxed are those who don’t participate, such as those who collect entitlements with out contributing to the system.

It is difficult to see the idea of America fail. It truly is as Alexis de Tocqueville said, “The American Republic will endure, until politicians realize they can bribe the people with their own money.” Well folks we’re there already. Rome isn’t burning, its burnt. Our Constitution is being torched in effigy by someone who’s right to even hold his office is under scrutiny. To all of you, may God save you, as it is plain to see we are incapable of saving ourselves.
