AMERICUS - The Lady Cavs brought their A game to Americus, Wednesday, and beat Region 17 rival South Georgia Technical College 64-44.
Michelle Mitchell led Darton’s scoring, succeeding in 9 of 15 attempts from the floor for a whopping 20 points in 36 minutes of play. She also gave 4 assists and grabbed four rebounds.
Chanteniece Fann also rebounded four and bucketed 12 points. Kadaysha Jones also scored 12 and managed six rebounds.
Darton outscored SGT 29-22 in the first half, and 35-22 in the second.
Darton’s performance Wednesday certainly kept them as the dominant team in the GCAA and improved its conference record to 14-2. The Lady Cavs are 22-3 overall in what may be their best season in program history.
They’ll face Georgia Perimeter College at home, Saturday, at 2 p.m.
