The win puts the No. 1-seeded, Lady Cavaliers into the semi-final round against either Georgia Highlands College or South Georgia Tech.

Michelle Mitchell, whom the GCAA conference announced as Player of the Year earlier this week, lead the Lady Cavs with a double-double today. The sophomore from Dodge County scored 13 points and snagged 13 rebounds.

But it would be a freshman – Jasmine Wilson – who would lead Darton in its offensive effort while earning a double-double as well. Wilson scored 14 points and gave 10 assists.

Forward and All-Region 17 selection Chanteniece Fann scored 11 points for Darton.

Darton will play the semi-final at 5:30 p.m., Friday, in the Cavalier Arena. The game will be broadcast live via this link: http://jockjive.ezstream.com/play/index.cfm?fuseaction=embstay&dsplvl=brd&id=382424B823&Org=jockjive.
