In an email from Albany downtown manager Aaron Blair, it seems as though popular downtown barbeque joint, Riverfront Barbeque, will be staying right where it is for the time being.

Earlier this month, owner Dale Saunders announced that he was closing his restaurant’s downtown location, citing the expenses of maintaining multiple locations.  However, some have opined that the truth was that rent for the downtown location was high.  The text of Blair’s email, which said, “FYI, Riverfront BBQ isn’t closing per bob brooks[sic] and Dale Saunders”, indicates that some form of agreement was reached.
