Sara Minchew Oxford

Sara Minchew Oxford died Saturday, December 15, 2012 in Savannah, GA.

A native of Douglas, Georgia, Mrs. Oxford, the widow of Charles Tillman Oxford who preceded her in death in 1999, had live in Albany since 1946. She moved to Magnolia Manor in Americus, Georgia in 2005 and then to Savannah. She was a charter member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, a member of the Junior League of Albany, having served as president from 1960 to 1961 and a member of Doublegate Country Club.

She is survived by two children, Anne Oxford Hattaway of Albany and Charles Franklin Oxford, II of Savannah, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A private memorial service has been held at Crown Hill Cemetery.

Those desiring may make memorials to Covenant Presbyterian Church or the Terrell County Humane Society, P.O. Box 331, Dawson, GA 39842
