Max Griffin

Mr. Max Griffin, died Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Phoebe Worth Hospital in Sylvester.

His funeral service will be Friday 1 PM at Acree Baptist Church with interment in Crown Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday.

A native of Enterprise, AL, Mr. Griffin had lived in Albany since 1973. He was a member of Acree Baptist Church where he served as Chairman of Deacon and served on the Building and Grounds Committee. He retired from P&G after 14years, had worked with Hayes Air Craft Corporation at Fort Rucker in Alabama and was Sea-Bee in the U. S. Navy.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Verna Jewell Griffin and a great grandson Clayton Maxwell Griffin.

Survivors include his sons Terry Griffin (Donna), Gary Griffin (Wanda Sue), David Griffin (Debbie) all of Worth County; grandchildren, Sherry Salter, Dennis Griffin (Betsy), Jennifer Griffin (David), Carmen Pendley (Skip), Melissa High (Marc), Heather Griffin; great grandchildren, Baylee Salter, Colt Griffin, Dylan Griffin, Annabel Griffin, Hunter Pendley, Rhett Pendley Haden High and Maliri High.

Those desiring please make memorials to the Sanctuary Fund at Acree Baptist Church.
