Albany, Ga - Albany Area Arts Council is pleased to showcase art work of Dougherty County Elementary School students. This Exhibition is an annual event and their first big art show of the school year. This year’s exhibit features artwork of 185 children from sixteen elementary schools. The exhibit opens December 4, 2012 and continues through January 2, 2013. Please stop by and enjoy the art of our local children. This is a heartwarming exhibition that is sure to delight all this holiday season!
The Albany Area Arts Council will host a parent student reception on December 11th from 3-5pm at the Carnegie Library. The children truly enjoy sharing their masterpieces with family and friends. At the reception, the budding artists will receive certificates for their artistic achievement provided by Gillespie Printing.
The Albany Area Arts Council is located in the historic Carnegie Library, 215 North Jackson St., Albany, Georgia. The gallery is routinely open Monday through Friday 10am to 4pm however please call for holiday hours this month. Our mission is to encourage, sponsor and support the arts and culture in our community. The Albany Area Arts Council is devoted to promoting the arts in the greater Albany area.
