Albany, Ga. –Theatre Albany has announced that it will conduct auditions for the play “The Member of the Wedding” Saturday, November 17 at 2:00 p.m. at the theatre located at 514 Pine Avenue.

Twelve-year-old tomboy Frankie Addams, falls deeply in love with her older brother and his fiancé. It was later became a successful film with Harris, Waters and deWilde reprising their roles.

Director Mark Costello is looking to cast six males (two African-American and) and seven females (two African-American). The primary roles are Frankie, Berenice and John Henry. Frankie is 12 year-old but needs to be played by an older, mature actress who plays young. Berenice is the Addams’ African-American house keeper and surrogate mother.
