ATLANTA – Today, Georgia Republican Party Chairman Sue P. Everhart released the following statement on the Bureau of Labor Statistics October Employment Situation Summary, which saw the National Unemployment Rate rise to 7.9%:

“This morning’s jobs report is another painful reminder that Americans are simply not better off than they were four years ago. With 23 million Americans still out of work and the unemployment rate higher than the day he took office, it is ever more clear that President Obama’s policies have failed to put our country back to work.

“In just four days, the American people will take to the polls with two distinct options: four more years of Barack Obama’s failed economic policies, record-high unemployment and unsustainable deficit spending, or Mitt Romney’s proven track record of job creation, pro-growth policies and balanced budgets. The choice is clear – America needs Mitt Romney.”
