Staff Reports

Police have long warned people that locked doors will not prevent theft, only provide a deterrent to a thief breaking into your home.  The thieves who broke into Simply Fashions last night illustrated the point that the truly determined will gain entry.

Officers reported to an alarm at the Dawson Road business shortly after midnight where the thieves had cut a hole to get into the clothing store.  In addition, there were two more holes that appear to have been made in an effort to gain entry to an office behind the store were found as well.

WALB reports that an employee claims that between $200 and $300 worth of merchandise was stolen, leaving thousands of dollars in damages behind.
