While the mission of Kiwanis clubs to improve the lives of children is never far from members’ hearts, members of the Kiwanis Club of Dougherty County got a brief refresher course on October 29. The week’s guest speaker was David Simmons of the Cordele Kiwanis Club, going over “Kiwanis 101” material – the same things that are covered in a Kiwanis 101 class at a division or district conference.  Campbell spoke about the history of Kiwanis, objectives, facts, service leadership programs, and projects.   The speaker (right) is pictured with DoCo Kiwanis Club secretary Tommy Gay.
