Joe Billy McInvale, 89, of Cobb,GA died Sunday, October 21, 2012 in Marietta, GA. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 26, 2012 at 12:00 Noon at Kimbrell-Stern. Interment will follow at 2:00PM at Andersonville National Cemetery. Rev. Charlie Bridges will officiate.
A native of Lilly, GA, Mr. McInvale retired from the US Navy after thirty-four years as Commander. He was a member of Radium Springs Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher. Joe was a fifty-year Mason in Pinehurst, GA as well as a fifty-year Shriner from AL CHYMIA Shrine in Memphis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed Lee and Grace McInvale and two brothers, Perry and Dan McInvale.
Survivors include his wife, Kay King McInvale of Cobb, GA, four daughters, Donna M. Pruden (Brad) of Marietta, GA, Vivianne M. Waldron (Ronnie) of Seabring, FL, Peggy A. McInvale of Kaiserslautern, Germany and Carol M. Blackwell (Reed) of Fort Mill, SC, five grandchildren, Brian Dupree, Katey Dopson, Meredith Pruden, David West and Christopher Blackwell, six great grandchildren, Kaine Baker, Lara Kathryn DuPree, Madison Dopson, Gianna West, Alexis West and Brooklyn West.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening at Kimbrell-Stern from 6:00PM until 8:00PM.
