Heard to not pursue legal action

Staff Reports

Rev. Lorenzo Heard has  asked his attorneys to withdraw his lawsuit to be listed on the ballot as an independent candidate for the at-large seat on the Dougherty County Board of Education.  Instead, he seems intent to remain as a write-in candidate for that seat.

He will be running against Dr. Lane Price who won the Democratic Primary against incumbent Anita Williams-Brown.

The news came at a press conference with supporters outside of the Albany-Dougherty County Government Center earlier this afternoon.
