ASU to celebrate International Education Week

Albany, GA -

The Albany State University Office of Global Programs will host “Building Global Skills through International Education.” The week-long tribute to international education runs Monday, Oct. 8 through Friday, Oct. 12.

James Pendergrast Memorial Library will present “International Countries of the World” all week. The kick-off begins Monday with the Departmental Country Poster Competition. Posters that creatively convey information about a country will be judged by a panel of IEW committee members and the winning poster will be announced at the Cultural Explosion on Oct. 9.

9 a.m. International Parade of Flags, from Wiley Hall to ACAD Auditorium

9:45 a.m. Opening Ceremony and Keynote Speaker, Honorable Excellency Cheikh Niang, Senegales Ambassador to the United States, ACAD Auditorium

5 p.m. Cultural Explosion, Student Center 2nd Floor

8 p.m. Passport Initiative Interest Meeting, Student Center 2-176
