Albany Advocacy Resource Center Announces Keynote Speaker for Annual Awards Banquet

Albany, GA – Albany Advocacy Resource Center (Albany ARC) will celebrate its 34th Annual Community Awards Banquet Thursday, October 11, 2012 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Albany. This year’s Banquet will feature Keynote Speaker, Mr. Sean Casey.

Sean Casey is the Deputy Commissioner for the Georgia Department of Revenue where he assists administering the tax laws of the State of Georgia fairly and efficiently in order to promote public confidence and compliance. Prior to joining the department Sean worked in the Office of Governor Nathan Deal, where he served as Deputy Chief Operating Officer. At the Governor’s Office, Sean was responsible for assisting in the leadership and supervision of Georgia’s 50 state agencies as well as other state entities, such as boards and commissions. Previously, Sean served as Deputy Director for the Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget. At OPB, Sean’s duty included assisting in the direction and supervision of agency staff and resources, and was responsible for advising the Governor on state budget, financial and policy matters duties included responding to budget inquiries from members of the Georgia General Assembly and the general public.

Albany ARC’s 34th Annual Award Banquet will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn, located at 101 S. Front Street, Albany, GA. The evening will start with a reception at 6:00 where guests will have the opportunity to meet the Keynote Speaker of the event followed by dinner at 7:00.

During the Banquet, Albany ARC Executive Director Annette Bowling and Deputy Director Sandra Edge will present awards to people we support for their successes, outstanding board members, and Albany ARC community partners.
