Easter Seals honors child and adult ambassador
(ALBANY, GA)- Easter Seals Southern Georgia selected its child and adult ambassadors honoring two individuals who have shown outstanding character, leadership, and performance in the Easter Seals programs.
Ty Christian West, son of Ann and Ken West, was selected as the Child Ambassador. Easter Seals has been there to help Ty Christian from the beginning. Despite his challenges, he defies the odds. He is a happy active child and loves singing, music, dogs, trains, dinosaurs, shopping and adventure! He loves the ocean and Mickey Mouse. He is progressing well in school, reading sight words, spelling, and counting. He loves Circle Time with his teachers at Georgia Cyber Academy. He loves his therapists and particularly enjoys his time with his physical therapist at ‘A Time Too’ for Zumba. He loves the local events and outings with ‘Butterfly Kisses’, a local playgroup. He enjoys social opportunities provided though Easter Seals and loves going to visit all of his friends there!
Ty Christian’s family says, “We are so grateful to Easter Seals for the provisions of therapy and medical supplies not covered by insurance and their kindness and willingness to help. Easter Seals houses many services for which we are immensely grateful. Megan’s House has been there for him, which is a comfort to us when the need arises. “Parent 2 Parent” had provided parent training and social opportunities for him. The mission statement “offering a variety of programs and services that enable individuals to lead lives of equality, dignity and independence” rings true in the many lives that Easter Seals touches. We have firsthand knowledge that Easter Seals truly cares.”
Jimmy Hasty was chosen as the Adult Ambassador. Jimmy has been working with Easter Seals for the past 4 years. Jimmy is extremely committed to Easter Seals Southern Georgia and it shows through in his every action, from his can do attitude to his eagerness to help others. He is always positive and eager to assist with new projects. Jimmy seems to know when someone needs a helping hand and then doesn’t hesitate in offering his services. When other Easter Seals employees need assistance with tough jobs they always ask for Jimmy’s assistance. Jimmy has a great attendance record but it is not just his showing up that makes him such an asset but it’s the kindness, loyalty, and energy he brings with him to work each and every day. Easter Seals Southern Georgia thanks Jimmy for his dedication and leadership.
