(ALBANY) – The Darton State College Lady Cavaliers finished sixth overall at the University of West Georgia Invitational, Saturday.
Sophomore Jeronda Stringfield led the effort, running the women’s 5K in 20:24 to finish 21st. Freshman Alexis Skiles was right at her heels, finishing 22nd in 20:25. Elena Oslund (21:11), Hayden Clapper (21:29) and Vanessa Pina (22:14) finished 30th, 33rd and 41st, repectively, to score 135 points.
Georgia Southern won, scoring a near perfect 16 points. Kennesaw State University finished second with 46 points, and University of West Georgia finished third with 97 points.
The Lady Cavaliers’ next competition will be on one of their home courses. The Skiles Farm Invitational race begins at 9:30 a.m., Sept. 29.
