ALBANY, GA – Albany Panther fans can now mark their calendars for when their Professional Indoor Football League Champions take the field next season.  The expanded PIFL released a 2013 schedule last week that included two new teams in the league.

The Panthers begin their fourth season on the road in Week 1 against the Louisiana Swashbucklers on Saturday, March 9th.  The team plays the first of six home games on Saturday, March 16th against their intrastate rival Columbus Lions on Phoebe Field at the Albany James H. Gray Civic Center.

All home games will be played on Saturday evenings beginning at 7:30 p.m with the Panther FanFest slated to start three hours before each kickoff at 4:30 p.m.  The Panther FanFest will allow fans to tailgate and fellowship.

Winners of back-to-back League Championships, the Panthers will seek a third straight title in 2013 by facing five of their league opponents twice and two teams twice.  The team will play home and home games against the Swashbucklers, the Alabama Hammers, the Knoxville Knighthawks, the new-entrant Lehigh Valley Steelhawks and their rival Columbus Lions.  The Panthers play the new-entrant Charlotte Speed once at home on Saturday,  April 27th and their 2012 championship opponent Richmond Raiders once in Richmond on Saturday, May 4th.

The two-round PIFL playoff season will held June 22nd and June 29th.
