Library director reportedly dead at 36

Albany, Ga. – WALB is reporting that the director of the Dougherty County Library, Ms. Ashley Moore, died last night at the age of 36.

Dr. Guy Craft, Chairman of the Dougherty County Library Board, tells WALB that Library Director, Ms. Ashley Moore, died of a heart attack last night. She was 36 years old.

Craft said that he and the others who worked with Moore are shocked and saddened by the news.

Craft said that Mary Antoine would serve as interim director.

Dr. Craft said that he would be meeting with the board and with county officials soon.

Funeral arrangements for Ashley Moore will be forthcoming.
