Eric F. Zellars has graduated from the U.S. Army War College at Carlisle Barracks, Carlisle, Pa., and earned a master’s degree in Strategic Studies.  The college is the Army’s senior educational institution.
The 10-month curriculum of the Army’s senior officer school is designed to prepare and train officers of all the U.S. military branches of service, foreign military officers, as well as senior civilian officials of  federal agencies, to serve in top-level command and staff positions with the U.S. Armed Forces worldwide.
Zellars is the director of the 13th Financial Management Center assigned to the 3rd Corps at Fort Hood, Texas.  The colonel has served in the military for 22 years.
He is the son of John and Mamie Zellars of Old Wrightsmill Road, Auburn, Ala. He is the father of Pierre Zellars of Whispering Pine Road, Albany, Ga.
Zellars graduated in 1981 from Auburn High School, Ala., and received a bachelor’s degree in 1989 from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, Tallahassee, Fla. He also earned a master’s degree in 1999 from Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, Calif.
