(ALBANY) – Jared Richmond and Cody Mallchok finished among the top ten at the University of West Georgia Invitational to lead the Cavaliers to a strong 3rd place finish, Saturday.
Richmond finished 9th overall and six seconds ahead of teammate Mallchok, who finished tenth. Hank Campbell, Luis Navarro and Nick Mascardo finished 14th, 20th and 23rd, respectively, to sum Darton’s score of 71 points.
Kennesaw State University won the event, scoring 35 points, with Georgia State settling in 2nd with 56 points.
Unfortunately the race distance was mistakenly shorter than the scheduled men’s collegiate 8K, so proper race times are unavailable.
The Cavs will race at one of their home courses for the Skiles Farm Invitational, on Sept. 29. The men’s race begins at 8:30 a.m.; the women’s race will follow.
