TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The football team held a two-hour practice on Wednesday at the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility as it continued preparations for the season opener against Michigan. Alabama will start the season Saturday night in front of a sold-out crowd and a national television audience at Cowboys Stadium.

“I thought the players have had a really good attitude the last couple days in preparing for this game and have done a really good job practicing, giving effort and finishing,” said Alabama head coach Nick Saban. “On Friday, we are going to go over to the stadium when we get there to let the players get a lay of the land and see the place (Cowboys Stadium). I think it will be good that they have an opportunity to do that.”

Earlier today, the 2012 ESPN.com Preseason All-America Team was announced, and Alabama was represented by three players including Barrett Jones, Chance Warmack and Jesse Williams. Also released by ESPN was the All-SEC Team, which included Jones, Warmack and Williams in addition to D.J. Fluker and Dee Milliner.

Kickoff for Saturday’s season opener is set for 7 p.m. CT and will be broadcast by ABC.
