The branch manager of Regions bank was arrested by Dougherty County Sheriff’s Office officials for allegedly stealing from the account of a 95 year old woman Monday morning.
DCSO officials arrested 40 year old Susan Taylor Monday for allegedly drawing money out of the account of a 95 year old victim, identified by officials as 95 year old Greta Rogers. Officials say that the victim had a Certificate of Deposit account and that Taylor would transfer money from the CD to a checking account and then withdraw funds via the ATM.
Officials first became aware of the theft when a family members of Rogers noticed a discrepancy. Bank surveillance pictures show Taylor making withdrawals, reported to have been $400 from once to twice per day. The total amount stolen is reported to be as much as $30,000. Taylor is charged with six counts of felony theft by taking, and two counts of misdemeanor theft. None of the money has been recovered.
